Rajeev Vihar Residents , along with Col K.C. Saklani (Secretary, Rajeev Vihar Army Society, Manimajra), organized a meeting with the police. The Presidents and Secretaries of Residents’ Welfare Associations from MHC, Rajeev Vihar, Duplex Houses, and Marble Arch Flats also participated. They discussed pressing concerns in the Modern Housing Complex – Rajeev Vihar area.

Saruti, I.P.S., from the Manimajra Police Station, and Suman Kumar, Incharge of Samavesh, along with traffic police personnel, attended the meeting. The discussion primarily focused on the challenges senior citizens face. Residents of Sector 13, Manimajra, also faced difficulties while seeking police assistance for their grievances.
Col K.C. Saklani highlighted the issues faced by army veterans residing in Rajeev Vihar. He urged the police and Chandigarh Administration to resolve them at the earliest. One major concern raised was the heavy traffic. This includes local CTU buses. They pass through the roads near Government Model Senior Secondary School. These roads lead to MHC and Kalagram.
Residents wanted to enhance safety, especially for school children during closing hours. They demanded the installation of tabletop speed breakers on both sides of the road. They also requested a red blinking light and a “Go Slow” warning sign. Additionally, they requested the installation of a CCTV camera on the blinking light to improve security in the area.
Residents hope for a prompt resolution of these issues with the cooperation of the police and local administration.
