DRDO to showcase path-breaking innovations during Republic Day Parade 2025
Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has a vision to empower India with cutting-edge technologies. Its mission is to achieve ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in defence. DRDO will display some of its path-breaking innovations for national security. This will occur during the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 26, 2025.
DRDO Tableau: Multi-Layer Defense with Advanced Weapons and Systems”
The DRDO Tableau, with the theme ‘Raksha Kavach – Multi-layer Protection against Multi-domain Threats’ will feature Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile. It will also include the Airborne Early Warning & Control System. Additionally, it features the 155 mm/52 Cal Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System. Additionally, you will find the Drone Detect, Deter & Destroy and Satellite-Based Surveillance System.
The Medium Power Radar – Arudhra and Advanced Light Weight Torpedo are included as well. Furthermore, there is the Electronic Warfare System – Dharashakti and Laser-Based Directed Energy Weapon. Finally, the Tableau showcases the Very Short Range Air Defence System. It includes the Indigenous Unmanned Aerial System. You will also find the V/UHF Manpack Software Defined Radio for Land Forces. The display features the Indigenous Secure Satellite Phone and UGRAM Assault Rifle.
DRDO Highlights 2024 Achievements: Hypersonic Missile
Additionally, DRDO’s major landmarks of 2024 will be showcased in the tableau posters. These achievements include the Long Range Hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile. They also feature the Light Weight Bullet Proof Jacket ‘ABHED’. Additionally, there is the Divyastra – Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle. The ‘Zorawar’ Light Tank is another highlight. Finally, the Dornier Mid-Life Upgrade features radar, an Electronic Warfare System, Software Defined Radio, and Electro-optic (Shyen).
DRDO highlights its unwavering commitment to precision, self-reliance, and national security. The organization will display the equipment of the Pralay Weapon System. This is a surface-to-surface tactical missile designed and developed with state-of-the-art technologies. It adds another layer of strength. Many DRDO-developed systems will be part of various Armed Forces contingents during the parade. These include the Nag Missile System, Pinaka, BrahMos, Short Span Bridging System 10m, and the Akash Weapon System.
DRDO primarily defines, designs, and develops state-of-the-art military systems.They focus on technologies for realizing the goal of ‘Make in India and Make for the World’. DRDO is collaborating with all stakeholders of the defence ecosystem. These include academia, industry, start-ups, and Services. They are developing critical systems to reinforce the spirit of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
