Lohri Festival brings vibrant festivities to RAJEEV VIHAR ARMY WELFARE HOUSING SOCIETY, SECTOR 13, MANIMAJRA
Lohri Celebration : Residents of Rajeev Vihar Army Welfare Housing Society, Sector 13, Manimajra, Chandigarh, enjoyed a lively Lohri celebration, thanks to the efforts of President Col D.S. Sra, Secretary Col K.S. Saklani, and the managing committee members. Army veterans, their families, and local residents all participated enthusiastically in the event.
The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) hosted an exuberant celebration, which showcased the rich traditions and cultural heritage of Punjab. The evening featured a traditional bonfire. It is a key symbol of Lohri. Families gathered there to mark the end of winter. They celebrated the promise of a bountiful harvest. Rituals around the bonfire were accompanied by the distribution of sweets like revari, gajak, and peanuts, emphasizing the spirit of sharing and togetherness.
