Nitin Nabin Holds Interaction with Padma Bhushan S.S. Johal on Strengthening Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare
Ludhiana, June 22: As part of the ongoing Contact with Eminent Persons programme marking 12 years of the government led by Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, along with BJP Punjab State President Kewal Singh Dhillon and State General Secretary Anil Sarin, visited and met Padma Bhushan awardee S. S. Johal, former Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agriculture University, at his residence in Ludhiana.
S.S. Johal, while recalling his long-standing association with Keval Singh Dhillon on this occasion, said that the two of them have regularly engaged in discussions on farmers’ issues
During the interaction, the BJP leaders apprised him of the various policy initiatives and measures undertaken by the Central Government to strengthen the agriculture sector and improve farmers’ welfare.
They also held a detailed discussion on agriculture and farming-related issues, seeking his expert insights and valuable suggestions on making agriculture more sustainable, profitable, and economically viable for farmers.
The interaction focused on addressing emerging challenges in the agricultural sector and exploring innovative approaches to ensure long-term prosperity for the farming community.
District President Ludhiana Rajnish Dhiman and Advocate Bikram Singh Sidhu were also present during the meeting.
