CM announces to develop Hussainiwala border as a state of the art tourist destination
Hussainiwala Border (Ferozepur), December 5: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday announced to develop Hussainiwala border as a state of the art tourist destination.
Attending the retreat ceremony at the Hussainiwala border, the Chief Minister expressed his overwhelming experience witnessing it for the first time. He asked the BSF officers to further submit a detailed proposal for giving a facelift to this historical place. Bhagwant Singh Mann affirmed the state government’s commitment to fully develop this sacred place.
CM Vows Modern Makeover to Boost Tourist Flow at Hussainiwala Border
The Chief Minister announced plans to develop this place on modern lines to attract more tourists. He highlighted that the retreat ceremony takes place at three locations in Punjab: Wagah, Hussainiwala, and Sulemanki borders.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that while Wagah attracts huge tourists, the flow of tourists at two other places is less.
The Chief Minister emphasized the immense tourist potential of this site, announcing plans to develop it into a tourism hub. He highlighted its association with Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru, and Shaheed Sukhdev, noting that it houses a museum displaying the pistol used by the legendary martyr to kill Saunders. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the site radiates patriotism and can attract more visitors to this sacred land.
Hussainiwala Border : CM Honors Armed Forces and Martyrs
The Chief Minister also praised the Indian Armed Forces, who tirelessly perform their duties despite the vagaries of weather in various parts of the country. Furthermore, he stated that the state government is making consistent efforts to preserve the legacy of martyrs in Punjab. Notably, he mentioned that, as a result of these efforts, Mohali airport has been named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Additionally, Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted the recent dedication of a 30-foot statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at Nishan-e-Inquilab Plaza in Mohali on Wednesday.
