Mega PTM has transformed education system in Punjab: students and their parents tell CM
Chandigarh, October 22: Parents and teachers from all walks of life today hailed the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for taking path breaking initiatives in Education sector to transform their lives During interaction with the Chief Minister, who participated in the Mega PTM here on Tuesday, the parents and students said that education revolution in state has transformed their lives by bridging socio-economic gaps. Sharing her views Mehak Sharma, a farmer’s daughter aspiring to be a cardiologist, thanked the school for free coaching. She said that School of Eminence has proved a boon by providing camps conducted by the school education department. She praised her teachers for helping her to pursue her goals.
Every student receives free facilities.
Asha Rani, Chairperson of the School Management Committee and mother of a former Convent School student now at the School of Eminence, said they provide textbooks and facilities free to every student. She said that Teachers impart moral and curriculum knowledge, validating her decision to enroll her daughter in a government school.
Ghanshyam, father of student Gurpreet, said his daughter’s dream of becoming a doctor is coverting into reality thanks to School of Eminence. He said that Chief Minister has championed the cause of weaker and underprivileged sections of society.
CM has revitalised the education sector in state
Darshana Rani, wife of a laborer, expressed gratitude for affordable coaching, enabling her son’s NDA exam aspirations. She said that her son’s dreams can be fulfilled only because the Chief Minister has revitalized the state’s education sector.
Prachi from Ganguwal, a former Convent School student, hailed her parents’ decision to enroll her in School of Eminence, calling it life-changing. She said that the curriculum and environment in the school is vital that can prove to be boon for holistic development of student.
Amanpreet Kaur, whose father is a heart patient, said that she now has the courage to clear the NDA exam.She said that the school offers quality education to her which enables her to compete her with their convent educated peers.

A Gambhirapur resident student, who lost her father, thanked Punjab’s government for support.She also praised the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, for its initiatives like the School of Eminence and the transportation facilities being provided.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister, while sharing his views, said that the historic initiative of PTM is a big boost for the parents as they can judge the environment in the school. Likewise, he said that they can keep a regular check on performance of their kid. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Teachers can also judge the habits and likings of students along with their family background.
Earlier parents didn’t had faith in the education
The Chief Minister said that the state government is according top priority to education sector as nothing is more important than well being of the students. He said that while parents previously lacked faith in government school education, they now see these schools transformed into temples of modern learning.. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to this a large number of students are coming from convent schools to join schools of eminence after giving entrance exam.
Earlier, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Lok Sabha MP Malwinder Singh Kang, Secretary of Education KK Yadav, and others welcomed the Chief Minister.
