The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab has clarified that the voter lists published on August 13 were only draft electoral rolls and not the final voter list.
Sources said the matter has been examined and necessary entries will be incorporated in the final electoral roll for Punjab, scheduled to be published on October 12, in accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission.
The clarification comes amid questions over entries in the draft voter lists. Officials said the final position of voters’ names and other details will be clear only after the final electoral roll is published on October 12.
