HOLDS PARLEYS WITH JBIC, AISAN, YAMAHA, HONDA MOTOR, JICA, TORAY METI, FUJITSU AND OTHERS
Chandigarh, December 2 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday showcased the state as the best investment destination to Japanese Businesses tycoons and impressed upon them to invest in Punjab for further giving fillip to their ventures.
On the first day of his Japan visit, the Chief Minister held parleys with the representatives from the JBIC, Aisan Industry, Yamaha, Honda Motor, Director General of JICA South Asia Department, Toray Industries, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Fujitsu Ltd and others. During the deliberations, Bhagwant Singh Mann batted for strategic tie up with Japan in key sectors of advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and global services. He invited Japanese companies to explore the new possibilities emerging in the state, as these sectors are shaping the future of Punjab
Japanese Businesses : CM Mann Invites Investors to 6th Progressive Punjab Summit
The Chief Minister called upon the investors to join the state at the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit scheduled from 13–15 March 2026 at the ISB Mohali campus. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the summit will showcase Punjab’s progress, bring together leading industrial players, and present new opportunities for partnership and collaboration. He reiterated that Punjab and Japan share values of trust, quality, and long-term commitment, and added that the state government fully dedicates itself to further strengthening this relationship
The Chief Minister shared his vision, stating that the state government commits to building a future of shared prosperity through strong economic and cultural ties. He highlighted Punjab as a land of courage, resilience, hard work, entrepreneurship, creativity, and community spirit, noting that the state has always played a major role in India’s development, especially in making the country self-reliant in food production . Bhagwant Singh Mann said that today Punjab is moving forward with a renewed vision to become a leading centre for modern industry, technology, and global collaboration.
CM Mann Invites Japanese Investors to Drive Punjab’s Growth
Batting for Punjab’s strong and growing ties with Japanese industry, the Chief Minister extended a warm invitation to Japanese companies to be part of Punjab’s next phase of industrial transformation. He said that Punjab and Japan share values of trust, discipline, and long-term partnership which can be pivotal for the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Japanese companies in Punjab have already demonstrated strong success in the state adding that several well-known companies of Japan have placed their trust in Punjab.
Meanwhile, buoyed over the red carpet extended by the Chief Minister, the Japanese companies evinced keen interest in investing in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that such investments will not only create employment opportunities for the youth but will also further accelerate the state’s economic growth. He also assured fulsome support and cooperation to the Japanese investors by the state government on all the fronts adding that it is the need of the hour to give further impetus to industrial development in the state.
