In a dramatic operation that shocked the state police, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Punjab Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Harcharan Singh Bhullar on charges of bribery and corruption. Armed with this evidence, the CBI team raided the Mohali administrative complex and arrested the DIG at his station.DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar made a move that shocked his colleagues. He is the 2009 IPS officer currently in charge of Ropar Range. CBI officers entered his office and placed him under arrest.
Things took a turn for the worse when the CBI obtained a search warrant at the police officer’s home. It was here that the scale of the corruption allegations became clear. The raid revealed an astonishing amount of Rs. 5 Crore in cash, tons of gold jewelry and luxury cars.
