Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini approves Rs. 41.30 crore for the remodeling of the Badhwana Distributary in Charkhi Dadri distric
Chandigarh July 15: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has granted administrative approval of Rs. 41.30 crore for the renovation of the Badhwana Distributary located in the Charkhi Dadri district. The authorities expect to finish the rehabilitation initiative by December 31, 2026. Its purpose is to improve irrigation facilities as well as ensure sufficient pond filling and enhance the drinking water supply for farmers and other beneficiaries. “The proposal will boost the distributary’s discharge capacity to 235 cusecs to accommodate future irrigation requirements.”Copy
While sharing this information today, an official spokesperson stated that the Badhwana Distributary is an irrigation canal located in the Charkhi Dadri district. It forms a part of the larger Loharu Canal system.
Badhwana Gets Irrigation, Drinking Water from Distributary
He mentioned that the distributory supplies water to numerous villages, including Imlota, Kanheti, Morwala, Sarupgarh, Sator, and Bhagvi. It also caters to Samaspur, Dhani Phogat, and Tikan Kalan. Furthermore, it serves Ghasola, Kaliyana, Mandola, Kalali, Balali, and Dudhwa of Badhwana, along with nearby areas. “Farmers and residents use the water for both irrigation and drinking. Engineers built this channel between 1971 and 1972 to handle a capacity of 176 cusecs.” It branches off at RD 42400-L of the Lohara Feeder. It serves the sandy areas of the Charkhi Dadri. this also serves the Badhra constituencies.

The spokesman said that the Badhwana Distributary plays a major role in irrigating the agricultural land through its offtake channels from various RDs. These channels include Badhwana distributory benefitting villages namely Imlota, Sarupgrah-Santor, Kanheti, Gothra, Adampura, Kheri Bura, Kalali, Balali, Bhagvi, Samaspur, Dhani Phogat, Dadri, Kapoori, Ghasola, Mandoli and Kaliyana, Kheri Bura Minor benefitting villages Kaliyana, Bharvi, Kheribura, Gahsola and Dadri, Dabri Sub Minor villages Dadri, Bharvi, Ghasola and Charkhi, Kheri Sanwal Minor villages Kherisanwal, Balkara, Ramnagar, Tikankalan, and Mehrana, 1-R Minor villages Kaliyana, Bharvi and Kheribura, Gothra Minor villages Mandola, Mandoli, Balkara, Mori, Gothra, Kheri Sanwal and Mehrana, Ram Nagar Sub Minor villages Mandoli, Ghasola and Ramnagar, Makrana Sub Minor villages Balkara, Makrana and Makrani, Dadhi Chillar Sub Minor villages Balkara, Dadhi Chillar and Mandola, Gohthra Sub Minor villages Tikankhurd and Mori and Dhudhwa Minor villages Dadhibana Balali, Jhojhu Kalan and Changrod.

He further said that 14 Water Works Tanks are also connected through Badhwana Distributory. They provide potable water to inhabitants in several villages. These include Kanehti, Sarupgarh, Bahgvi, Kaliyawas, Sehlanga, Samaspur, Dhani Phogat, Gothra, Mori, Kapoori, Kheri Sanwal, Ghasola, Kaliyana, and Kalali.
