Chandigarh, March 29: The Shiromani Akali Dal Parliamentary Board held a meeting today.It was led by Working President Balwinder Singh Bhunder .The party decided to hold its organisational polls starting April 2. In the first phase, members will elect District and State delegates by April 6, 2025.

Party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema disclosed this in a statement released from the party head office today. He said that today’s meeting decided that individuals have not submitted enrolment slips. They need to submit them in the party head office. They have time until March 31, 2025, to complete the process. Cheema said no one can submit enrolment slips after 5:00 PM on March 31.

He said that on April 11, the party will hold a meeting of all its observers in the head office. It will provide them with guidelines. They will also receive circle level delegate lists. Based on these lists, elections for District and State delegates will occur.The authorities will hold the elections on an Assembly segment basis from April 2 to 6. On April 7th, all observers will deposit lists of District and state delegates in the party head office.

Gulzar Singh Ranike, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, and Hira Singh Gabiria attended today’s Parliamentary Board meeting, while S. Maheshinder Singh Grewal joined online.
