Chandigarh, January 16 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) organized a successful political conference. It took place at the Maghi Mela in Muktsar. Following this success, it has made a decision. It will focus on conducting the targeted 25 lakh strong membership drive. This is part of its organizational elections.

Senior party leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema disclosed this here. He said, “They are finalizing all plans to start the membership drive on January 20.”These include printing copies for distribution to the party cadre. They also involve framing the rules and regulations for the drive as per constitutional norms”.
Dr. Cheema said, “The party is committed to conducting a genuine membership drive.” Party observers will ratify this drive, and former minister Gulzar Singh Ranike, the chief election officer for the drive, will supervise it. He said they decided to hold training sessions for the designated Observers. This ensures that the entire process is conducted smoothly in a free and fair manner.
