Chandigarh, 13 December 2024: The State Election Commission Punjab has deputed the 22 IAS Officers as Election Observers. They oversee the arrangements for free, fair, and peaceful elections. These elections are scheduled for the Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils on 21.12.2024.

Arvindpal Singh Sandhu, IAS, is for Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. Puneet Goyal, IAS, is deputed for Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, and Anindita Mitra, IAS, is for Municipal Corporation, Patiala. Babita, IAS, is for Municipal Corporation Phagwara. Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, observes for Municipal Councils/NPs, Amritsar, and Sanyam Aggarwal, IAS, is for Municipal Councils/NPs, Bathinda. Bhupinder Singh, IAS, observes for Municipal Councils/NPs, Barnala. Amandeep Kaur, IAS, is appointed for Municipal Councils/NPs in Fatehgarh Sahib. Upkar Singh, IAS, is appointed for Municipal Councils/NPs in Ferozepur.
